Precious Angel Babies
"He is your friend, your partner, your defender, and your dog. You are his life, his love, and his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion. Dogs are linked to paradise. They don't know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring, it was peace. "

Welcome to Precious Angel Babies of Lakeberry. The first Shih TZU I remember seeing was in 1975 at Lakenheath England, called “Bandit” I loved him instantly. He was beautiful with the sweetest disposition. We had left our two Chihuahuas with the kids grandmother until we returned due to a lot of complications they were not able to go with us. So there was a big void in all our hearts. My husband had been stationed there a few months, we had just arrived a few days earlier.. Bandit belonged to a family that was relocating back to the United States early due to the wife health problems. She was going back for medical treatment. They could not take Bandit and needed a home for him. We agreed to take him. He immediately became a wonderful member of our family. Our youngest daughter was seven or eight months old . She and Bandit became instant inseparable friends. She cried if he was out of her sight and he would climb onto the couch, across a coffee table and jump into her play pen, lay down and become her pillow. They would sleep for hours and then wake up and play for hours. He was the best baby sitter in the world. About a year later ironically I had to return to the United States for Chemo Therapy Treatment. I came back on a Air Force Medical plane accompanied by my husband, five children and a six week old grandson. However they drew the line on letting us bring our dog. Not knowing what might lie ahead of us we left him behind with a young GI that agreed to bring him to us when he returned to the US. Sadly he died before he was able to come be with us. At that time Shih TZU were very rare. We only saw them once in a while on TV on the Dog Shows. In 1996 My youngest son knowing how much we had loved Bandit bought me the most precious black and white male Shih TZU. A few weeks later we bought our first female a beautiful white (with one small blond spot on her back.). My youngest then twenty two, decided she had to name my precious pair. She knew what she wanted to name them and there was no changing her mind. The names were very regal and so long it was not a good thing to use everyday so they became Shadow and Bubbles. They were the matrix of my breeding program. Shadow died prematurely at age seven from a freak accident while outside for a potty break. Bubbles died last year at age fourteen. She only had two litters at age two and three years and I had her spayed. She was not made to be a successful mom so I let her retire early and she just became the matriorch of my four legged family. My small stud Charlie is the great grand son of Shadow and is just like him except smaller. We have come a long way in the last fifteen years. We have learned a lot, had a lot of fun, suffered some heart aches, but the rewards gained and the love, devotion and happy times have made it all worth while.

We recently added the breed Brussels Griffon to our Shih TZU family. This too has been an enjoyable learning experience for us. With all of our dogs we strive to maintain the most healthy, beautiful and clean breeding stock that will produce the quality of puppies anyone would be proud to own as pets and companions. Health and temperament are my main concern. Several of my breeding dogs have champion blood bloodlines. Even though I do not breed for show I have had many puppies that are show quality. I pride myself on offering, to my buyers a quality of puppy that with the continued proper care, food, love and attention will give you many, many years of enjoyment and friendship. My dogs are raised in my home , playing with each other, our grand children and the resident cat “Henry“. They will go to their new forever home at eight weeks or older as a playful, energetic, loving, well adjusted and socialized puppies. I offer a written Health Guarantee , a copy of which you will find on this site under information. Your new puppy will be current on needed immunizations and de-worming. They will be well on their way to being potty trained and will be completely trained to peepee pads inside. I endeavor to keep my prices reasonable to enable the average person to be able to afford one of the most rewarding and wonderful lifetime experiences of owning and raising a terrific little angelic creature into a magnificent adult that will be devoted to you forever.

We also offer rescues as the need is found and we always offer boarding to our buyers and to others on a limited basis if the space is available. The charge for boarding is a very reasonable per night charge. In order to provide rescue placement we have to charge a Re-homing fee to cover the cost of having the dog fully Vetted before it is released to it’s new home.

I do not sell to puppy mills, Brokers or Pet Stores.

I screen all perspective buyers in hopes of finding great forever loving homes for all my puppies. However I know that the unexpected can happen. Therefore I have, in my written contract reserved the first right to reclaim any puppy or rescue animal that I place or sell if there comes a time that a buyer can not or does not want to keep or care for it any longer.
